Reflections on Becoming “The Household CEO”
New Year’s Day is my favorite because it is a time of reflection for me. I’ve been reflecting on my journey of becoming “The Household CEO” and why I want to share it with you. I love empowerment, a peaceful home, I cherish my family, what I have learned that works. I’m here to share my heart stories that may enhance your lives.
I was with my friend Nan in an introductory meeting, Nan used this title “The Household CEO” and I resonated with it. I became a business owner with this name in the state of Colorado. Every time I state my name I receive the comment “I like that”. My guess is that there are a lot of people resonating with this title “The Household CEO” I believe there is value in a peaceful and well-managed household for all family members.
My Journey of Becoming
I evolved into this title as a homemaker and originally as a business owner in the plumbing industry with employees. Our family business started on our kitchen table. I had lots of trial and error and I’m still learning today. Accountability became a priority. In order to grow our business, I needed to have organized financials for both our home and business. QuickBooks, www.intuit.com, and Quicken www.quicken.com accounting software programs became my tools. Tracking your money spending is key to wealth, a way to plan. It is also a way to feel your money, your spending, what matters to you, your goals for your household and small business if you have one.
Expansion of my Position
I want to share this information with you because I truly believe that running a household is just like running a business. There are so many things that go into managing a household; schedules, family and family outings, volunteer and charitable contributions, spirituality, fun, vacations, holidays, entertainment and lots of meals.
I will be sharing my experience, strength, and hope here. I want to see you have peace and calm at the end of your day knowing that all is well.
I would love to hear about your experience. Blessings for a wonderful day!
